Sabrina Célia Ferreira (born September 24, 1994) is a Spanish-American professional wrestler, musician, actress and model who wrestles under the ring name Marcela Ferreira. She is a former TKS Tag Team Champion with Tiffany Aero, and former PWR Tag Team Champion with Kattya. Ferreira announced her indefinite hiatus from professional wrestling in February 2021 with her final match taking place December 2020. In March 2022, Ferreira announced she would be making her return to the squared circle in the near future.
Early life & biography[]
Ferreira was born on September 24, 1994 in Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain to a family of high social status. At the time, her father Arnau was one of many congressmen within the Spanish government whilst her mother Alba worked as a businesswoman. She grew up alongside her older sister Sofia, and her older brother Romeo. At the age of 13, Ferreira was sent to boarding school in Los Angeles, California where she would form a passion for entertainment & the celebrity lifestyle. Ferreira stayed in Los Angeles and went to school until graduation when she was 18, quickly thereafter starting a career in modeling.
Professional wrestling career[]
Independent circuit (2015)[]
Transitioning from her modeling career, Ferreira found interest in professional wrestling and used money she had saved up to pay for a month of training. After completing her training, Ferreira began competing on the independent circuit for a short amount of time before moving on to pursue other opportunities. While on the independent circuit, Ferreira formed a trio with Tiffany Aero and Kattya which went by the names Mirage a Trois or MTK.
The Diva PPV (2016-2017)[]
At the first annual Diva PPV event "DivaMania" on April 25, 2016, Ferreira would face Aysia and Kattya in a triple-threat match, pinning Aysia, and leaving with the first victory of her career. 5 months later at "DivaSlam", Ferreira competed in a submission match, losing to Aysia. The following year, Ferreira faced Aysia once more in an Extreme Rules match, where she came out with the win. In February 2018, Ferreira announced she'd be competing in the Ultimate Diva's Classic tournament. Unfortunately, the event had been canceled.
TKS (2016-2019)[]
Signing her contract in January 2016 just 2 months after her debut match, Ferreira began training with the head trainers of TKS. 6 months later in July, Ferreira debuted alongside her tag-team partner Tiffany Aero to manage her in her debut match against their former partner Kattya. Ferreira made her in-ring debut in August at the inaugural Sirens Subversion event, defeating Kattya with interference from Aero. At TKS Inception, Ferreira held an open challenge which was accepted by the returning Céline, coming out in a losing effort. On the season 3 premiere, it was announced that Ferreira and Aero had become the number one contenders to the tag-team titles, at the time held by The Border Whores. PURE proceeded to defeat The Border Whores at Axis of Powers and became the new TKS Tag Team Champions. Soon after their victory, they would lose their titles to The Border Whores, ending their partnership after Aero's sudden attack on Ferreira. Following the split, the two were set to face each other 1-on-1 at TKS Revelations. At Revelations, Ferreira faced Aero in a No Disqualification match, coming out in victory following a roll-up on her former partner. On the season 5 premiere, Ferreira was set to compete against an unnamed opponent when Aero attacked her from behind, leaving her laid out beside the ring. It was announced that Ferreira and Aero's rivalry would be settled in a grudge match on the second episode of the fifth season of Aftershock. On April 8, 2019, TKS announced it would be ceasing operations.
UAW (2017)[]
Once UAW finally announced a release date for their premiere show, Ferreira was confirmed to debut alongside her tag-team partner Tiffany Aero. The two would compete in a 2-on-1 handicap match against Zada Ion, where the two walked out and failed to complete the match. The promotion was soon closed after financial issues arose.
CTO (2017-2018)[]
In 2016, it was announced that Ferreira would be competing on CTO Fortune's second season. In 2017, Ferreira made her CTO debut in a 2-on-1 handicap match teaming with Isabella Petrova against Denise Brooks in the CTO Redemption kick-off show. She moved on to the finale of Fortune, where she faced her tag-team partner Tiffany Aero for the CTO Fortune Women's Championship, coming out in a losing effort. Going into season 5, Fortune was made into it's own CTO brand rather than being a tournament-style competition. Ferreira debuted within the brand as part of the D.O.D. Championship tournament, defeating Royce Anamorah in order to advance into the second round. Ferreira would be under contract with the company until it's closure in August 2018.
Aero Academy (2017-2018)[]
Behind the scenes, Ferreira served as a head female trainer at the Aero Academy Performance Center. Once the show went live, Ferreira found herself in a rivalry with Kyung Ahn. The slow building rivalry has consisted of Ahn attacking Ferreira and catching her off guard at random times. After the conclusion of her feud with Ahn at the CPV Uprising, Ferreira announced that she had not renewed her contract with Aero Academy.
NAH (2017, 2019)[]
In February 2017, NAH hosted round one of their Women's Classic tournament. Women from all around competed in hopes of making it to round two. In round one, however, Ferreira left with a loss to her opponent Angel Warren. In January 2019, NAH announced that Ferreira would compete in the companies first-ever women's match against Kattya, which also served as the show's main event. Ferreira came out in defeat, though she cites the match as a victory for her as a developing competitor and marks it as a highlight in her career.
FAME (2019)[]
On the premiere episode of FWE Supremacy, Ferreira debuted in a first-round match for the FWE Women's Championship tournament against Jazzy Valentine, winning by forfeit after her newfound partner Anastasia attacked Valentine from behind before the match. The duo cemented their alliance when they announced themselves as Extortion. Soon after her debut, Ferreira decided to take a hiatus from wrestling and left the company due to mental health reasons. She returned to the company after the hiatus as an interviewer on her own talk-show "The Red Carpet" where she announced the incoming debut of the FWE Women's Tag-Team Championships. In late 2019 Ferreira left the company which she claims was due to mistreatment and harassment by management.
ROX (2017-2018, 2019-2020)[]
Ferreira was originally slated to debut in 2017 at the PPV Victory Lane, however contractual obligations weren't fulfilled. On the February 11, 2018 edition of ROX Burnout, Ferreira made her official debut against Alaina Petrova in a losing effort. After a long hiatus from the company, Ferreira was announced as an official member of the roster in June 2019, returning against the also returning E'Lise La'Prez; defeating her with her new submission finisher "Sugar Coma". Ferreira would go on to have an undefeated streak in the company, never being defeated via pinfall or submission.
PWR (2020)[]
On December 26, 2020, Ferreira made her debut at PWR Clash for the Crown alongside her tag-team partner Kattya. The two competed in their debut match as Blonde Ambition in the 6-Team Gauntlet match which decided the inaugural PWR Tag-Team Champions. Ferreira & Kattya were the fifth team to enter the match, and beat The Dames of Deception (E'Lise La'Prez and Valencia Ramos) and the Femme Fatales (Rachel Reigns & Tesla Vandetta) to win the overall match and become PWR's inaugural Tag-Team Champions.
Music & film career[]
In late 2015, Ferreira made her debut as a pop artist with the self-release of her lead single Turn The Lights Out, it gained little attention due to Ferreira's lack of funding with an independent team. Following the single, she independently released her debut studio album Magnum Opus.
After a 2-year hiatus from music, Ferreira later announced she was working on her second project which would be backed by a record label. Ferreira released her second studio album, Kenya Bone, through Dream Girl Records in March 2019. The record peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200, spawning the hit single “Freak of the Year” which peaked at #8 on the Hot 100.
Ferreira made her film debut in the lead role of 2017’s Atomic Silver. She’d return to the big screen once again in the lead role of 2020’s That Girl is a Problem.
In February 2022, Ferreira opened up to fans that she had been in the process of working on her third studio album set to be released later in the year. She later hinted at it again in June that same year as well as hinting at landing more roles in television & film.
Other ventures[]
In October 2016, Ferreira appeared on the cover of Muscle & Fitness Hers magazine, discussing her new diet, lifestyle, and training in Mexico. In October 2017, Ferreira appeared on the cover of PAPER Magazine, where she shocked many by posing topless for the cover. Over the summer of 2018, Ferreira would appear on the cover of PAPER Magazine once again.
Alongside Kattya, she had trained up & coming stars Claudia La'Prez & Maria Gonçalves in 2020 and later Milan in 2021 following her in-ring hiatus.
Personal life[]
When asked about her ring name, Ferreira stated that Marcela is her late grandmothers name; going on to say that she was the woman who raised her growing up, and that she’s the “strongest woman I’ve ever known.”
Ferreira has been in public relationships with a few professional wrestlers, but her relationship status remains undisclosed.
In February 2021 following the announcement of her retirement, Ferreira moved to Rabat, Morocco. In a comment to TMZ, they are told “she is happier than ever” and Ferreira claimed “Morocco is where I belong, never in my life have I been at peace in the way I am now.” When asked about a return to the professional wrestling industry, Ferreira stated “No, I don’t see myself returning. I love that business, but I did everything I set out and wanted to do. It’s time for the new generation to prosper and take it to the next level.” Ferreira would return to Malibu in December that same year, focusing on returning to Hollywood.
While living in Morocco, Ferreira adopted a pet cat in which she named Macklemeow and later a pet poodle named PooPoo.
It’s been speculated during her absence from the public eye that Ferreira had began dating again, but the identity of her new partner has remained private. TMZ believed she was dating Preston Petrova, but Ferreira soon shot the rumors down stating; “No! I’d never date Preston.. Not because he’s ugly or anything—but because that’s Milan’s ex! I could never do that to him.”
